Yosemite

Creed's first camping trip! He loved it and slept the day away in the tent and in his babyhawk
Smores!! Savannah was the best marshmellow roaster. She had a learning experience this weekend when she was literally ran into by a car. She never looks where she is walking and decided to run out into the street. The car couldn't stop in time, hit her, knocked her down, and she was screaming. I was sure we would be headed for the hospital or worse, but instead she just had bruises on both knees. Talk about blessed! It was so scary. what a different trip that would have turned out to be.

Cole's favorite part was playing with Nick and throwing rocks in the river. Mike took him across the river on a log (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!) onto this island full of rocks. He wanted me to take him too thats how I found out. Daddy did it, he told me. I wouldn't even do it alone! Our kids already have enough near death experiences without us helping them find new ones.

Alauna felt the same as me about the whole ordeal. not too impressed! Nick loved it! Dean said his new biggest fear is that Nick will want to do it again someday.

Dean, Nick, Vanessa, and Alauna hiked Half Dome. This is them hiking back into camp after the long journey. Mike kinda wanted to go but I talked him out of it :) I remember Carinn and I made a solemn vow when we hiked it that we would never do it again! 6 hours straight of switchbacks, I swear! That is how hard it was. Then I found out Carinn did it again when she was dating Eric to impress him. The things you'll do for love.

Vanessa and Savvy. Vanessa is going to BYU-I next year! She is such a fun girl, I know she is going to have a blast..........
Why does that deer have "bone-ears" ? Savannah wanted to know.
We recently purchased a used tent trailer and got to use it for the first time! Mike found a good deal in AZ on a tent trailer, called my dad to go see it and voila, a new tent trailer! We bought used instead of new because we owed the IRS so much money, but I am really glad we bought used after this trip. I realized we have little KIDS and they don't exactly use extreme caution when taking care of things (if any of you doubt this read this post by my sister in law :) ). We had so much fun in Yosemite, my favorite place to camp. I have so many memories of yosemite, we used to camp there every year when I was little with all the cousins. Jan and Dean brought us the tent trailer and came with us, we LOVE spending time with their family and had a blast. Sorry so many pics, it is just so pretty there I had to take a lot.

We are jealous! ;) That looks like it was a lot of fun!!! Savannah, how scary!!! Does she look now?
On a lighter note, Samantha must have been talking about Savannah and gum lately! Today I was chewing gum and Aleena informed me that when she is 4, like Savannah, she can chew gum! It put a smile on my face!

I'm so glad you got to spend time with Nicoles family. I can see by the pics you had a blast!

We can't wait to see you in Mexico soon!

P.S. I'm glad Savy was okay when she got hit by the car. Oh my, it could have been so much worse!

Wow, you are brave to take 3 little ones camping. I can hardly handle 2. Oh wait, that's because my idea of camping is in a hotel room. :) It looks like you guys had a great trip. I like your new camping toy! Should bring years of fun vacations.
