It must have been a phase
I have been looking on all of your blogs and have noticed a severe decrease in activity for the vast majority. This is okay I suppose, although I really do look forward to seeing what our friends and relatives, both here in Cali and throughout the U.S. are up to. But perhaps it was just a blogging phase that most of you were involved in. You'll have to tell us what your new hobbies are, now that blogging is no longer a part of your lives.
So Nicole is 38 weeks pregnant. Due on the 11th of February. She is severely pregnant and ready to burst. At least she should be. The other day we decided to give some of Savannah's clothes to a couple in our ward who has a daughter younger than our daughter. I stayed in the van with the kids while Nicole carried the clothes up to the door. While she was at the door step, I couldn't help but think that she really only looked maybe 5 or 6 months pregnant. To think that there is a full grown baby inside her and yet she still looks so small, it's amazing. She is still going on her walks most days too. What a good example. Perhaps I should actually follow her example and exercise, but that takes too much effort.
So last week Nicole and I took the kids to the beach two days in a row. The water is really cold, but the weather was great (mid 70's). Savannah and I played in the water a little bit while Mom and Cole played in the sand. We saw some star fish and some sea cucumbers. We discovered a road that leads from Wendy drive in Newburry Park down to the ocean. We found the nicest little secluded beach. It is located by a small sign that simply says, "beach access". There is a small turn off from PCH where you park, then you walk down an old set of stairs that lead down to a small beach, protected by rocks jutting out into the ocean on either side, and steep cliffs in the back drop.

Good to see you blogging Mike. I think about half the people who start blogs end up not going on. We keep on because the blog is for us as much as every one else and is a good place to keep a kind of open book of remembrance.
Jealous of going to the beach. Were about four months away and then we can hit the Carolina coast.
Everyone keeps telling me that I look small!!
I actually heard that too Linnae!!
But i heard you have a big ol baby inside just to trick everyone!!
I think Brandt and Soupie are still trying to get the hang of blogging. I don't know about Shannon and Larry and Natalie and Jay have been with us this last week. It gets hard, but do-able, I love to read Rachel and Paul Rodgers blogs, but she gets up at 4:00am or stays up after midnight sometime, but she really has it down well. I'll try harder. Sometimes I want to wait till I get pictures and I'm still learning that part of it.
Yeah, it was totally a phase. I'm out of the blogging thing now. J/K Too much to do, too little time. Nice to see that you guys are finding fun things to do. I could handle taking a drive to the beach rather than a snow covered mountain. Oh well. Can't wait for the new one to arrive!
Awesome pictures of your day at the beach! Nicole, you really do look very small though I'm sure you don't feel it. I am so excited for your new little one to come.
Ah, California. Amazing to think that you can just take a ten minute drive and be sitting on the beach. If we take a ten minute drive, we might trigger an avalanche! Winter and snow suck!
Hey guys, Brandt and Soupie updated their blog if you're interested! So are we going to get one more blog from you before our cute little Creed arrives? I'm getting more excited as the days get closer. Are you sure I can't go see the delivery and Mike can stay home with the kids? Just kidding, He will be the first new born from your family that I will get to see. Cole and Savannah were at least a few weeks old if not older when I first saw them.
This is one excited Grandma!
we are super excited to have you too! mike probably wouldn't mind you taking over the birthing part especially after cole's birthing fiasco!! Mike was a nervous wreck after that. that is why I am in NO rush to have this one although I know he has to come out eventually...
One week from tomorrow! We are so excited to wecome the newest member into the family. We hope we can come and visit soon, maybe for the blessing.
We will be thinking of you this next week.
By the way, Soupie and I will have a special love for Creed (like we have for your other kids), that was going to be Tayler's name if she was a boy.
Good luck! We love you guys.
